Jernigan's is a Club whose constituency consists of good friends, some old and some newly born. It is a place to meet and share good times over a fine cigar and a compatible spirit or wine.
To enhance the friendly spirit of Jernigan's in the next year, special events will be held on a twice monthly basis. There will be tastings of cigars, spirits, wine and specialty beers. Additionally, there will be appearances by sports celebrities, business and governmental leaders, and local folks who know a lot about a diverse range of special subjects such as fly fishing, golf, tennis, personal defense skills, bike riding and architecture, and who are willing to share their experiences with us.
Our good friend Peter Katz of Southern Wine and Spirits is hoping to schedule visits by Mr. Fred Noe, the great-grandson of the legendary Jim Beam, as well as by Mr. Simon Brooking from Dalmore Scotch. As part of our upcoming agenda, we also will arrange appearances by local authors and artists who will discuss their works.
By becoming a regular member of our Club, you stand a good chance of becoming an intellectually and socially enhanced human being, a worthy aspiration for all. Jernigan's deserves and will take all the credit for your newly created refinements.
Throughout the year, there will be opportunities for you to be designated Celebrity of the Month, and be toasted by your many friends and business associates. Also, you may nominate another individual, and we will create a special bash. For those individuals so designated, Jernigan's will reward you with the free use of a Cigar Locker for one year. Details should be discussed with our Manager.
The first individual to be recognized with such special status is Tara Rieland, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Metropolitan Magazine. Her prominent cigar locker plate attests to her special status and to her contributions in the creation of the Arbiter of Fine Taste.
